Palmer invited to become leader of Te Aho T膩maka programme

Dr Farah Palmer was officially welcomed into the Te Aho T膩maka programme, an initiative that acknowledges and celebrates Manawat奴's most accomplished leaders.

The Manawat奴 Te聽Au聽Pakihi M膩ori Business Network聽and the Central Economic Development Agency hosted a breakfast hui at Wharerata, at Massey鈥檚 Manawat奴 campus on Wednesday with presentations by College of Business associate dean M膩ori and Te聽Aho T膩maka Manawat奴 leader Dr Farah Palmer and聽Te聽Au聽Rangahau co-director Dr Jason Mika about their recent work and travels.

The breakfast was also Dr Palmer鈥檚 official welcome into the聽Te聽Aho T膩maka programme,聽an initiative led by the agency that聽acknowledges and celebrates the region鈥檚 most聽accomplished聽leaders across many fields, including academia, business, arts, sport, culture, theology, who are recognised for their work nationally and globally.

Dr Palmer聽was presented with a leader鈥檚 award by Manawat奴 District Mayor Helen Worboys and Palmerston North Mayor Grant Smith. She expressed her support for the kaupapa of the programme and pleasure to have been asked to become a leader.
