Staff wellbeing

As an employee, your wellbeing is a priority at Massey. We want you and your wh膩nau to be able to flourish as part of the university community.

Note: Wellbeing in COVID-19

There are different ways the university can support you during COVID-19, with work and non-work related wellbeing.

Along with the usual support, remind yourselves and your teams of the below.

  • You are not ''working from home'', you are ''at your home, during a crisis, trying to work''.
  • Your personal physical, mental, spiritual, and wh膩nau health are more important than anything else.
  • You should not try to compensate for lost productivity by working longer hours.
  • You will be kind to yourself and not judge how you are coping based on how you see others coping.
  • You will be kind to others and not judge how they are coping based on how you are coping.
  • Your team's success will not be judged the same way it was when things were normal.

Employee Assistance Programme

The Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) is a free, external and confidential counselling service. It is available to all fixed term and permanent staff who are of 0.5 full-time equivalent (FTE) or greater and have an employment agreement of 12 months or more.
