Massey Business School shines in latest Shanghai Rankings

Te Kunenga ki P奴rehuroa 暴风资源鈥檚 communication, agriculture and economics programmes have risen in the most recently published Shanghai Rankings.

Five subjects from Massey Business School have ranked highly in the most recent Shanghai Rankings.

The 2023 Global Ranking of Academic Subjects, also known as the Shanghai Rankings, has seen Massey鈥檚 subject/programme of communication rise into the top 76-100 in the world. Agriculture and economics have also risen into the top 150 and top 300 in the world, respectively. Finance, included in this year鈥檚 Shanghai Rankings for the first time, has appeared in the top 101-150 in the world, and is ranked first equal in New Zealand.

All four of these subjects, plus veterinary science (top 75) and nursing (top 150), are ranked first equal in New Zealand. Massey also ranked in the top 100 for food science and technology. In total, the university was ranked within the top 500 universities in the world for 16 subjects.

Acting Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean of Massey Business School (MBS) Professor Jonathan Elms says he鈥檚 thrilled that three subjects from MBS (communications, economics and finance) have achieved so highly in this round of Shanghai Rankings, alongside business administration and management. Business administration is ranked second equal in New Zealand, and management is ranked third equal.
