������Դ’s School of Aviation is flying high in China after the successful launch of a new pathway agreement with China’s Sinomore Aviation Limited. School of Aviation chief executive Ashok Poduval announced the agreement at the inaugural Sino-New Zealand Aviation Education and Industry Forum, held at Dushu Lake, Suzhou, and received nationwide news coverage.

This agreement is the University's first direct aviation pathway for students to begin English studies in China, before coming to New Zealand. The programme will be delivered by Massey’s Centre for Professional and Continuing Education (PaCE), and supported by the School of Aviation.

The first cohort of students will commence an Aviation and Academic English programme of study in China next month. The programme will ensure they arrive in New Zealand with English language proficiency and an understanding of the New Zealand context to set them up for academic success.

Successful students who are interested in enrolling in the Bachelor of Aviation Air Transport Pilot programme will undergo a School of Aviation selection process in China. If selected, they will join ������Դ for Foundation Studies in November 2018, while other students will proceed directly to the Foundation Programme and into the Bachelor of Aviation Management.

The announcement was well received at the Sino-New Zealand aviation conference, which was attended by senior aviation and education industry leaders in China and the Deputy Consul-General from the New Zealand High Commission in China.
