Reweti Kohere, Ngāti Porou and Muaupoko, has won the top student award on this year’s ������Դ postgraduate journalism programme, with a $1000 prize.

Mr Kohere was presented with the award, which is funded by Stuff, by Dominion Post editor Eric Janssen at the newspaper's offices recently. The award goes to the student who earned the highest grades on the year-long course. 

It caps off a great year for Mr Kohere, having earlier won the course’s $750 top business journalism prize, funded by the Insurance Council.

As for the future, Mr Kohere says: “Immediate plans are to save money while job hunting!”
