Senior Lecturer in Environment Management
Doctoral Co-Supervisor School of Agriculture and EnvironmentJulian is passionate about the environment, education, life-long learning and building on shared knowledge systems. He has a PhD in Natural Resource Management from Charles Darwin University in Darwin Australia which looked at the commercial use of plant products and agribusiness potential for Aboriginal stakeholders, His professional interests relate to intact and functional landscapes and ecosystems, resilient communities, sustainable development, and valued Indigenous knowledge and practice (kaitiakitanga). He aspires to work with rural NZ communities to adapt to changing social, political, and environmental conditions using my experience and knowledge in ethnobotany, Indigenous engagement, sustainable development, and natural resource management.
