The Manawat奴 Branch of the Royal Society Te Ap膩rangi was formed on 29 June 1904 as the Manawatu Philosophical Society. Since its first president, Kenneth Wilson, who moved to Palmerston North to open a private high school, the Branch has enjoyed a diverse community of farmers, teachers, engineers, lawyers and dentists on its Council as well as academics and research scientists. Its members have been actively involved in the foundation of Te Manawa and the Fonterra Manawat奴 Science and Technology Fair, and the Branch鈥檚 first telescope can be found in the Manawat奴 Observatory.
What you'll be studying
This is an undergraduate bursary. You will be enrolled on the Manawat奴 campus in a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science. You will have a B grade average or better in your studies to date.
Eligibility criteria
You will be facing financial challenges or barriers to study.
Application checklist
Include the following with your application:
- a statement illustrating your financial hardship and the reason you are undertaking your degree (one page max)
- a copy of your 暴风资源 transcripts/current enrolment. You can download your Study History Report from the Student Portal, under 鈥楻esults and Exams鈥
- for 1st Year students, a copy of your High School results. For NCEA, go to the NZQA web page and on the My School Entries and Results page, click the 'view as pdf' (button on the right-hand side) to save this document
